Kaupr is a Nordic media company that shares content about emerging technologies, their areas of application and economic effects. Kaupr is the media company with a particular focus on the future internet and the future financial system. Our target groups are people, businesses, startups and authorities who are interested in news and insight into the intersection between finance, technology, culture and society.

Via this tab you can watch and read the content that is arranged in English. This is also a sign of what we are cooking, as we are preparing for a multi-language future. Four great guests video interviewed in English!

Increasingly we are producing stories in English, especially video interviews, even if English is not our native language. We believe it strengthens our mission, as a Nordic media startup in web3: 1) We persist in sourcing international news and insights and adapting them to fit a Nordic context and audience. 2) We spotlight Nordic initiatives, companies, projects, and individuals for both Nordic and international viewership.

Crypto reached mainstream in Denmark during Covid: 900 000 owners predicted within decade

A recent survey conducted by the consultancy firm EY and the crypto research company K33 Research has revealed a rising trend in cryptocurrency ownership among Danish younger adults, with 300,000 or 7 % of the Danish population, reported to own some form of digital currency.

Crypto Adoption in the Nordics

I week 15, from the 8th to the 11th of April, Kaupr, EY, K33 and Nordic Blockchain Association have organized the Crypto Adoption Week in the Nordics, where EY and K33 will present the results and trends from the Crypto Adoption Survey 2024. This year, the survey has also been conducted in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland in addition to Norway. During the week we will stream live events separately for each country.

Tokenization of Real World Assets (RWAs) is making the headlines in the international financial media, both within and outside of the crypto industry. Why is this? Nahmii going global from Bergen, Norway, but with a global team and global ambitions

 

We have been saying it for a long time: The web3-related ideas, innovations and products worked on, with Nordic founders and developers involved, are much larger than are generally known. One of these teams is Nahmii, with headquarters in Bergen, where the CEO, Jacobo Toll-Messia, also lives. But with a global team, reach and ambitions. Music Tech startup Nexro from Norway going “global first”

After having worked on its data, algorithm, and prediction technology for a couple of years, and lately made some breakthroughs, the Norwegian Music Tech startup Nexro is planning to go “global first.” Nexro is right now working to raise 430,000 Euros (5 million NOK) in a founding round, and we have interviewed founder and CEO Svitlana Pozniakova, or Lana, as she is mostly known.

The Unleash conference was a great success both in terms of attendance and engagement, and as a concept Unleash by Kaupr will continue. There will be new events, either in the same or adjusted formats. Kaupr will also launch new offerings and services, as a new podcast in English that the media startup is planning for now.

Unleash by Kaupr mints 250 Event NFTs as a proof of knowledge

The Nordic startup and media company Kaupr is minting 250 NFTs to their hybrid attendees at the Unleash Conference in Oslo this week. - We think this is the first time that NFTs have been used as a proof of attendance for a Nordic business conference. We think it is a nice gift to share with our attendees, speakers and team volunteers, and at the same time a fun way to show how NFTs can be used, says Morten Myrstad, the founder of Kaupr and Unleash.

Unleash Conference gathers 120 participants - building Web3 community with 500 engaged people

Norway is finally hosting its first major web3 conference. It is the Unleash conference, organized by the startup media company Kaupr, which is bringing together over 120 in-person attendees and 18 leading speakers for its conference during Oslo Innovation Week. In addition to the physical event, which takes place on September 26th at Pressens Hus in Oslo, all who register can follow the conference the whole day via live streaming.
