Kiip Pay is also a response to growing demand from businesses that want fast, affordable and easy payment solutions.

“We have spent a lot of time in research and development to make the stablecoin infrastructure robust and ready to launch. Kiip Pay is the first commercially available product built on this platform,” says General Manager Asgeir Sognefest.

Kiip is founded by Asgeir Sognefest (left in the picture) and Maren Sognefest (middle), while Ronny-Andre Steinslett (right) is Tech Lead. Maria Tysse Hordvik is also employed as Customer Experience Lead.

Control of own funds

Kiip Pay enables instant settlements globally and removes the need for traditional bank accounts. The companies retain full control of their own funds, without Kiip having access to the money of end users or companies at any time. It is thus important to note that KIIP's offer consists entirely of pure technological solutions and not financial services.

Businesses that use Kiip Pay can receive payment in most cryptocurrencies, while settlement always takes place in stablecoin. This gives businesses peace of mind and eliminates currency risk. The solution starts with support for USD stablecoins, and support for EUR is already under development.

New services

Kiip will in the future launch a number of services on top of its stablecoin infrastructure, and several of these solutions are just around the corner. The company has also developed an embedded wallet solution that several companies are already working on implementing. Some of these customers go live in the spring.

AI-First Startup

Kiip is an AI-first startup where around 80% of its source code is written by artificial intelligence — a share that is increasing week by week. This has allowed a small team of only four people to develop solutions that only a couple of years ago would have required a much larger team and taken significantly longer.

“Without our AI-driven approach, the work to develop Kiip Pay and the stablecoin infrastructure would have taken many times as long. We have big ambitions to challenge established payment giants globally,” says Sognefest.

Investors

Kiip has already brought in investors such as Aurora3 (Klein Group's investment company), ProVenture and WeSeed. Kiip is now embarking on a new round of funding. The capital will be used to expand the team and strengthen global commitment.

Inviting Innovative Businesses

Kiip is now inviting businesses that want to stay ahead of developments in stablecoin payments to get in touch. The company offers free start-up assistance and close collaboration to make it easy for businesses to get started.

High ambitions
