New AI Project Will Invest $500 Billion USD in U.S.

Stargate, according to OpenAI, will immediately begin distributing $100 billion. This infrastructure will ensure American leadership in AI, create hundreds of thousands of American jobs and generate massive economic benefits for the entire world. This project should not only support the reindustrialization of the United States, but also provide a strategic capability to protect national security for the United States and its allies.

The original equity investors in Stargate are SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle and MGX. SoftBank and OpenAI are the main partners for Stargate, with SoftBank having the financial responsibility and OpenAI having the operational responsibility. Masayoshi Son will be chairman of the board.

Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle and OpenAI are the main technology partners at the start. Development is currently underway, starting in Texas, and we are evaluating potential sites across the country for additional campuses as we finalize final agreements.
