OKX, a global crypto exchange, has received a full license for MiCA in Europe. OKX has officially launched its products and services in the Netherlands and in Belgium, but MiCA will give OKX the opportunity to offer them in 30 EEA markets.
Last week, OKX was the first global crypto exchange to receive a pre-authorization for MiCA in Europe. Today OKX also has received the full MiCA license. This means that OKX now can roll out its regulated crypto products to 400M+ people across Europe.
‘Securing authorization for the MiCA license is a major milestone that further validates OKX's mission to lead and build responsibly in the global crypto space. OKX will be the go-to digital asset platform for both retail and institutional customers in Europe for any digital asset offering under a fully regulated framework, says Erald Ghoos (photo), the Europe CEO in OKX.
Under the license, European customers will have access to OKX's localized crypto products and services, including OTC trading, spot trading or bot trading, for 240+ cryptocurrency tokens across 260+ trading pairs
According to a press release from OKX, the license was obtained via the OKX European hub in Malta. “The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) is renowned for its thorough regulatory framework and is at the forefront of global regulatory standards. Through our Malta Hub, OKX customers will be offered the best, most secure and fully compliant digital asset platform.”
